Problem: posting an answer takes you back to the homepage instead of leaving in that question thread (this has been mentioned before)

Request: bring back the preview option when posting an answer e.g. I just posted a link within an answer only to find that it didn't work, a preview would have enabled me to correct that before submitting the posting.

Bring back the italics and bold function.

Bring back received "Latest Posts"

Bring back the star rating system which also acts as an acknowledgement.

At least the answer posting problem that was occurring this morning has now been rectified.

As for the rating system, you're gonna have to settle for being best answer.
