I'm off to NYC in a few weeks time and was looking at roaming costs as I'll need my phone for getting about.  Do you know if there is a mobile company out there that does a time restricted, unlimited usage? (I'm PAYG so can go with any company I like.) Or, would I be better off getting a SIM when I get there and load that with local credit (is that easy to do?)

Thanks

If your phone is on this listhttps://www.airalo.com/help/about-airalo/what-devices-support-esimit will be eSIM compatible.  (i.e. there's a chip built into it which can function as a SIM card when loaded with data). Then you can buy an eSIM to meet your requirementshttps://www.airalo.com/united-states-esim

Thanks, Buen. That looks interesting. I'll have a little gander.

Just been to America and Canada, use of my full allowance for a 15 quid add on. EE

That's per month but it is going up to £25 per month on oct 18

Thanks, Roy. I think I'll go with the esim so I don't have to change my number.
