On the news earlier they were showing some motorway oop north that was shut due to heavy snow. You could tell by the tyre tracks and the sparrow trails that the snow was quarter of an inch deep, max.
Other places grit their teeth and their roads and carry on with 30ft of snow.
I feel there's an important lesson re Global Warming in there somewhere.

Rowan. Are you saying this is the weather GW adherents would expect?
(there must be a schism in the religion)
Anyway, I wasn't suggesting a soupcon of snow destroyed the basis for your religion. We understand you have covered all the bases. Too hot-GW, too cold-GW, stays the same-GW.
It was more about how we handle these extreme/normal weather events.

Why were your leading lights telling us a few years ago that children born in Britain from that time onward to eternity would never, ever, ever see snow in this country?
Not that I'm bothered. I file every pronouncement that your leaders make as bull-***. Hasn't let me down yet.
Still nothing to do with why I mentioned GW in the first place.
A hundred years ago an average of a million people per annum died from extreme weather events. Those events are escalating according to the GW crowd and yet the average death toll today is given as low as 10,000. (up to as high as 60,000)
See what I'm getting at.
