Rather late, sorry. Addressed to answer Naomi at 13.54. Just to say that my answer has, indeed, been reinstated. Life problems intervene, I'm afraid.

However, I am now very reluctant to post an opinion on the Science page as I am not a scientist (although my daughter has a degree in Chemistry from Durham). I am also wondering about offering the benefit of advice on the 'Body & Soul', say, about a health condition from which I, or someone close, have suffered. It is a very concerning development. Reminiscent of the EU actually! :)
What's to worry about? The guidance only re-emphasises that which was already true.

And what harm is there in giving more thought to evidence behind opinions in what is ostensibly a board about Science anyway?

You see, that's exactly the sort of baseless, nonsensical allegation that doesn't belong in a scientific discussion. Where is the objectivity? Where even is the attempt to be objective? It's non-existent.
