Just lying down, doing nothing in particular after a busy day and gazing at the full moon with the occasional whispy cloud passing in front of it. (inside my flat, not outside...) Something magical and calming to me about it. I also live on the edge of a forest and occasionally like to walk through it during winter weather, snow, rain etc and feed a few tidbits to the animals.
Might be a bit odd to some but occasionally connecting to nature (while forgetting about Brexit etc) has a calming effect.
Sometimes think that we all might do better by re-connecting to nature a bit and forgetting all the crap in the world. Maybe its just me? I don't know!

Retro, just for the last time of trying to get it through to ur thick plod skull....
Stoke IS a dump!
BUT Id rather be here than anywhere else because the people are great.
Gedditt?
Well that killed that one didn't it?
Nailit - My wife and I walk in Trentham Gardens as often as we can, we do enjoy the lake and the birds and fresh air.

Occasionally, I do look at the sky and marvel at the clouds, tonight there was a fabulous clear rainbow for about five minutes, magical.

My eldest daughter told me when she was six that clouds are 'other countries' which is a fabulous perspective on them.

HaHa, got to be BA by far....
Must move there - next door to Andy.
To answer the OP, very often.
My mental health is greatly improved by just being outdoors, even in our back garden with the birds, insects, sky etc
21:09 "Thank you Mamy, saved me the bother of trawling through past posts ;-) Appriciate it!"

Yet just one hour earlier "I wouldnt appreciate it if anyone else answered on my behalf..."

Dual standards, nailit.
I C&P'd Nailit's own words. I wasn't speaking for him.

I dislike hounding that's all.
I live in the country and enjoy the nature around us every day. Not that keen today when a I found the remains of the raptor's meal behind my rockery, poor pidgeon. But to see the buzzards circling close by is amazing and every creature has to eat.
True, the cruelty of nature is not easy to watch close up but we have to accept that's the way it is.

When I lie abed and hear the Owl swoop and something small make a squeal I cringe a little but also appreciate the wonder that allows me to be that close to hear it.
