Please can someone explain what is outstanding about Ms Kelly cos I can’t see anything great about her? Certainly not her sycophantic celebrity interviews

I like LK and she's got an unblemished record in her 35 years of broadcasting , bearing in mind she's far from her Aberdeen? home about four days a week, she deserves her award

To be honest I don't watch LK but if she's been on ' accidentally ' I find her okay but I don't like magazine programmes, I'd rather watch a debate etc so my tv goes off after Jeremy Vine Till the early evening news

As others, I am at a loss to understand what Ms Kelly's 'Outstanding Contribution' actually is.

I think folk are misunderstanding the entertainment world. They all go around congratulating each other publicly and awarding gongs for doing their job (a bit like the UK honours system) and someone who's been employed as a liked personality for years has officially made an outstanding contribution. Unsure why there's anti-Lorrainne sentiment; she seems pleasant enough, or at least her public persona is.

I do understand the entertainment world as I work in it, and I am not 'anti-Lorraine' at all.

Personally, I would consider such an award by such a minor magazine as being veritably damned with faint praise!

I've had a glimpse behind the curtain of 'awards' and seen the political bias, self generated publicity and financial incentives which fuel them. Not a pretty sight.
