I agree with pastafreak - I find the sound quality on Silent Witness very poor. Even the older episodes that are shown on the Drama channel are muffled and difficult to make out, especially as I am hard of hearing anyway. Thank goodness for subtitles. OMG is there a new series?!
started Mon 9pm ...part 2 last night 9pm
I have some catching up to do!
I am new to Silent Witness. I enjoyed it but it all seems a little contrived. How could they solve a ten year old cold case in a couple of days? Still I will persevere and see how it develops.
Tyrion, the first series are much more 'believable'. As the characters have developed, they have become much more involved than what a 'normal' forensic scientist would be! But it makes for an interesting, if somewhat unbelievable, series!
I understood the first part somewhat Jordy, but the 2nd part last night, blew my brains out.

People alive and dead, (no idea who they were) came into it, and some of the forensic test they did, of how they died etc, was a bit OTT.

And another thing, forensic people, don't get involved with the detective side, chasing, fighting villains etc.
I hadn't realised there was meant to be a story, I always drift of gazing at the vision that is Emilia. :-)
Much as I enjoy Silent Witness, I always struggle to know exactly what's going on. I also struggle with the sound quality...is it me or is the dialog muffled?

The new series began ok for me on Monday night, but Tuesday night's episode left me confused and irritated and not sure that I want to watch the series any more. Nothing seemed to make sense. Irrelevant storylines seemed to appear out of nowhere and were left hanging unexplained. Maybe I am just thick, too, jordyboy.
I haven't watched this for quite sometime and I miss all the old cast, but hey-ho time moves on. I see it is following suit with most other BBC dramas in bringing to our attention LGBTetc issues, I did enjoy it though.
Like some others on here I have to use subtitles now and found it quite amusing when they showed a man, cross dresser, alone in a cell crying and the subtitle was "she sobs." I wonder how long they were pondering over that one.
