I Seem To Have Lost The Sound On My Mobile

phone, just for the incoming e mail. I have a samsung J3. if that is any help at all. I have looked under settings but can't see a problem, anyone know what iam on about

It should be under Apps > Settings > Sound & Notification > Notification Volume.

i have already done that and still nothing.

notification volume is full on. I have asked someone to e mail me to see if i get a bleep so to speak.

Try a soft reset:

Press and hold the power button.
Tap Restart.
Tap to confirm.

did that, no joy, i sent myself several e mails, none of which appeared on the mobile e mail.

If they're not appearing at all (rather than there being just no sound notification) it's because there's a syncing problem between your email app and your email provider's server. The simplest way to fix it is usually to delete your email account from the app and then create it again. (You won't lose any existing emails).
