Country's, and the UK spend millions on Space Research. but they sill dont know what else lies beneath the seas and oceans, before we destroy them.

I have been watching one of the first Blue Planets, being repeated everyday on BBC2.
So much more interest than looking at nothing but space, and planets.

OG, yes, as the OP says, they're in competition for funds. In theory we could do both if we siphoned off all that extra EU clawback from the NHS where it's gone, but in reality not.

its an excellent programme, and very eye opening, sad that so much plastic gets dumped into our seas, oceans killing off wild life, its time that something was done about that..
One should explore both; they aren't in competition.

Anyway we know what's there: plastic, plastic, and more plastic. The last of the series told us so.
We may need to leave this planet , sometime in the future

Never said they were in competition OG, but the difference in cost of exploring the Oceans, which we rely on, & the cost of exploring Space, which we can live without, and probably mess up as well, is Millions.

## We may need to leave this planet , sometime in
the future ##

Vert much doubt it Bazile, as by the time that would be possible, there wouldn't be any human life left on our planet, as everybody would be dead from pollution, or wars.
A seer walks among us.
Cheerful *** ain’t ee.

Alexa told him ;o)
Now there’s an idea! We’ll really show those EU monsters when we all leave for Mars, eh.

Well she's more knowledgeable than you Baldric! ;-)
Both activities cost "peanuts" compared to everything funded, and split between all taxpayers. Millions, pah !
