How long after a meal will you urgently need to go the Toilet
my reaction seems to take place within two hours
if I don't get to a toilet disaster its a trousers full job

Woofgang...you may well be right.

However....don't you think that GP's Consultant Physicians would have picked up the "syndrome" of bloating, colicky abdominal pain explosive diarrhea, being as prevalent as it is today? Everybody knows somebody who has it.

Being "bilious" use to refer to someone with vomiting, with or without abdominal pain.....rather that the explosive diarrhea of IBS.

Sqad, that's the definition of bilious that I understand . Indigestion sickness and vomiting, different from the descriptions I hear of IBS.

I think that perhaps people didn’t go to the GP with it as much.....Milk of magnesia and kaolin and morphine were freely available. In my family it was always referred to as a bilious attack.
