Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

I didn't mean lively but now I think of it, it was!
hello all. Back improving thanks. I am not a patient person and hate the sitting around. Weather has been chilly and sunny here but Shughy has got himself to the state where he imagines noises and panics. Bless him he is a wimp.
Jno, I hope you are feeling less frazzled today.
Hope everyone else is well
went for another drive and the car behaved better, but as I don't know why I still have to regard it with caution. It was only stopping for half a second before changing out of first gear, as opposed to much more risky 2-3 seconds the other day. (It also tends to stall for half a second while slowing down and going roudn corners, which isn't great.)

I am slightly more relaxed but not exactly happy. Hope everyone is getting through this very changeable weather ok.

Morning all.
Jno when I bought my ford fiesta a few years ago it would stall when going along and at lights but we took it back and whatever they did it worked well from then on. Take it back.
Hope all biddies are OK.
Morning all....zzzzz. Not a good night, my own fault, I fell asleep too early and was wide awake at 3am. I decided to have a look round Harrods but felt out of place in my M&S pj's so I went to look at the bears in Katmai National Park, Alaska.

Very chilly again but forecast is good. Sorry you had a soaking shaney, once it finally warmed up it was glorious here. The trouble is the sun's gone from almost all of my garden by 4ish now.

Drive carefully motorists. The only wheels I have to worry about are those on my trolley, it's only got two and one of those is a bit wobbly.
Woofy, I was talking to my sis about flu jabs the other day, she doesn't have them either. Year after year I hear denials that it has side effects but now Boots seem to acknowledge that for some people it may do...

oh shudders the flu vaccine.

I sleep so well.
good morning all, back improving steadily. one more day of screaming boredom and daytime Tv should do it.
Robi, Boots are a bit late! its been known for years that the flu vac has side effects but for most people they are much less nasty than flu. For me the reason for having one is simple. I live alone and the dogs rely on me.
Hello all
Lovely day ,bright and breezy. This sort of weather can carry on right round until spring as long as they let me know exactly when it's going to rain:)
Glad your back is on the mend Woofy.Mine is past mending now unfortunately.
I'm not having a flu jab.Didn't have one last year either.
The year before I had one and shortly afterwards I went down with that awful virus which went on for weeks.Probably a coincidence but I'm not going to chance it.
Hope you're all Ok .Going to town shortly to pick up my specs and Mr S has appt for an eye test so can kill tow birds with one stone .
Perhaps that motor needs a squirt of WD 40 Jno .I creak a bit when I go round corners.
Question Author
Apparently we could do with a spray of WD40 on our joints but just don't fancy it!!
Done too much. pass the WD40
Question Author
Good morning.
throws the WD40 over to Woofy
Nice day here.
Morning...same again, very chilly but bright.

In fairness to Boots they may have mentioned side effects before and I just never noticed them. Some of the tv/radio docs say that it's a coincidence if you feel unwell.

I'm thinking of mixing ibuprofen gel with my body lotion and slapping it all over.
My opinion of TV/radio docs is that if they were better docs, they wouldn’t be faffing around in the meejar!! but that’s just me being a snotty old woman. Down to just one sore spot today which is just as well as mrs next door is having the dividing fence renewed which means I have to spend a few days with no fence there which means I need to put up a temporary fence to block off a bit of garden for the dogs to use. She is one of those people who cannot open her mouth without making a cutting comment and when she first moved here she came to the door to complain that DH had just driven over her front lawn...only problem was that he had gone out on the motorbike and the front lawn mossher was actually her Next delivery! I make a point of being calm, friendly and cheerful when we meet....not that i do it to be annoying or anything.
