Once you have seen the true beauty of this country you won’t want to leave. With 3000 kilometres of coastline as well as breathtaking mountains this country’s diverse terrain, together with an ideal climate for outdoor activities make a rich hunting ground for adrenaline seekers.

The capital, Cape Town, opens up a whole new world of adventure, with some of the best, most varied rock climbing sites in the world. The cliffs are big and in places the terrain is uneven and steep; providing the perfect setting for the more advanced and adventurous climber. Why not hang out over the cliff tops of Cape Town then embark on a 112m abseil from Table Mountain; a heart racing experience of a lifetime.

You can’t visit Africa without taking advantage of the fascinating wildlife, really taking the word ‘wild’ to a whole new level. Experience an encounter up close and personal with elephants in the bush and witness the magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. You could also opt for a night time safari tour around Kapama Private Game Reserve in an open top 4x4; explore the bush at night with experienced rangers and trackers for the chance to see some of the wildlife South Africa is famous for as well as the most beautiful scenery- so don’t forget your camera for those once in a lifetime moments you will want to catch and keep forever.

There are not many places in the world that you can get close to some of the most dangerous predators in their natural environment without feeling utterly terrified. For an extreme and intense experience you should try cage-diving with one of the most ancient predators- crocodiles. You should expect to be lowered into a clear water pool in a bite-proof cage (very important) and into the company of Nile crocodiles, each with a bite pressure of over 2 tonnes per square inch – this is not for the faint hearted.

We have all heard of snowboarding and how exciting and adventurous that can be- but we can go one step further...sandboarding. For an adrenaline pumping and liberating activity you should definitely try sandboarding on the dunes in the Atlantis National Park- you’ll be flying down the dunes in no time, with a little help from expert guides who will guarantee both safety and fun.

You may want to take lots of photos on your journey as you may not remember much of the trip in the morning after consuming a huge selection of fine wine.
