This isolated island paradise is the perfect setting for a tropical honeymoon. With superb beaches, sparkling turquoise waters and constant sizzling heat you won’t run out of romantic ways to spend your time. The Seychelles is guaranteed to be the ideal spot for the most romantic holiday of your life.

Honeymoon in Paradise:

The islands of the Seychelles are quite simply the most romantic location imaginable, with crystal clear waters gently breaking on the pure white sands surrounded by palm trees swaying in the wind which is whispering in the background.

The diversity of the Seychelles landscape rushes up to greet you the moment your aircraft begins its descent and promises a long list of things to do. To witness some of the many species of coral and fish you should step aboard a glass-bottomed boat from Victoria to nearby St Anne Marine National Park- providing a romantic way to spend the day together on your honeymoon.

Relax together on one of Mahe’s 70 beaches, while enjoying the lush vegetation, rising through plantations of coconut palms and cinnamon to forested peaks that afford unparalleled views of neighbouring islands. This could be the perfect setting for a few honeymoon pictures, with amazing panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding beach- to capture those amazing moments and keep them for a lifetime.

If you’re looking for more adventurous activities to embark on together you should try waterskiing, windsurfing or sailing in Desroches, which is the largest of the Amirantes archipelago.  The diving potential in the ocean in this area is superb, with sea cliffs, tunnels and caves to explore. You should expect to see a multitude of fish of many different species which will add to your list of underwater encounters on this underwater adventure.

A Haven for Honeymooners:

The Seychelles is all about luxury, nature and relaxation, the perfect blend to make the most memorable honeymoon concoction. This enchanting land of ecstasy is inhabited by roaming tortoises, marine turtles, nesting sea birds and hundreds of species of tropical fish. So be prepared to share your romantic getaway with some of wildlife’s most fascinating creatures.

Expect to plunge into an idyllic retreat where the stresses of everyday life dissolve as you sunbathe on a secluded beach. Enjoy a tropical climate, with warm temperatures year round. Average temperatures range from 26-28°C and only vary by a degree or two even at night. The northwest trade winds bring monsoon rain to the islands between November and April, so bare this in mind when planning your tropical honeymoon- if its sun, sea and sand you’re looking for this might not be the best time to visit.

Taking a honeymoon in the Seychelles is all about serenity, and the islands are pleasantly free from lively clubs pumping out the latest techno beats, instead after dark activities take place in the bars and restaurants located in the resort hotels. You can enjoy a blend of fine wines, exotic cocktails and stunning sea views in each other’s company without being disturbed by noisy party goers. In some resorts the entertainment may even stretch to live music or a small casino.

Everybody likes food, but for those who love food you won’t be disappointed by what the Seychelles cuisine has to offer. On the islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue, visitors will find abundant options for eating out with everything from roadside vendors to four-star restaurants.

If while on the honeymoon of your dreams you want to sample some of the local cuisine it will come as no surprise to many that the cuisine of the Seychelles is heavily influenced by the sea and also by produce afforded by tropical flora. Typically a menu in a traditional Creole restaurant will include dishes featuring tuna, shark, squid, prawn, lobster and grouper.

With a dream like setting boasting outstanding beauty, captivating turquoise lagoons, delicious local delicacies and an abundance of things to do and see this truly is the perfect tropical honeymoon destination.
