Xbox Live is Microsoft’s online multiplayer gaming and digital media distribution platform, connecting Xbox gamers from all over the globe into a giant gaming melting pot.

Xbox Live is currently the only online gaming platform (on console) that charges a subscription fee for their services. Prices vary depending on subscription length, but a monthly renewal fee is just £5 for total access to all digital media and online gaming networks.

Although its PlayStation counterpart (PlayStation Network) is entirely free, Xbox Live offers a huge range of unique dashboard content, arcade games and an extremely reliable service with little to no downtime.
