The cream of the IT Q&As

01:00 Sat 17th Mar 2001 |

In recent weeks, the IT channel has received some exciting, some mundane, some surprising, some surreal, some serious and some silly questions that have never ceased to amaze the Answerbank team.

The channel has also attracted some of the smartest people on the web, or so we like to think, as even the most taxing questions have received useful responses.

One user called Sandral raised an important concern when she asked the question of where she can download ring tunes for Motorola phones for, as she rightly pointed out, most websites only catered for Nokia phones.

Another popular question posted by E MacDonald wanted to know how to overcome a very popular and annoying problem whereby his internet line randomly disconnected after he spent some time the net.

Another user HarryAsABoy, also made us say ahhh this week when he explained why television turn rooms blue when the lights were turned off.

Another smart alec, cleared up a long standing query when he posted a reply to the question titled How do I search URLs instead of site content.

Random access memory was a popular discussion topic this week. Djhooper wanted to know how to upgrade his upgrade my ram from 64mb to 128mb; Gkouri, Mattie and Jez all generously came to the rescue and helped him sort-out his dilemma.

However, with the hundreds of questions that users have provided the answers for, there are some questions that still remain unanswered.

Pgarland still wants to know which PC-based products are available for interviewing call centre agents while another user Jont0 is curious about how to download the phone book from my Siemens 35 mobile phone onto her PC.

So, keep your questions coming in, keep tackling the answers, keep dazzling us with your knowledge.
