The Carphone Warehouse

The Carphone Warehouse is the largest independent mobile phone retailer in Europe. The company is well known for it's outstanding huge choice of products and packages from manufacturers such as Nokia, Sony, Blackberry and Samsung. The Carphone Warehouse philosophy of ‘if we don’t look after our customers, someone else will’ ensures that they are committed to giving excellent service.

The company was founded in 1989, when most portable phones were too bulky to carry and called car phones. Four years later the company had grown to 20 stores. They were to specialise in the small business, self employed and private individual market for whom, at the time, there was nowhere to go.

The Carphone Warehouse has the largest Mobile Phone repair service in the UK, and repair centres in all of the countries it is actively trading in. It also has over 1,700 stores across Europe which means that wherever you are you can go in to a store and talk to a person about your mobile phone needs.

The business was built on the premise that what the company stands for is more important than what it sells; in this case, a promise of great customer service and the ability to deliver ‘simple, impartial advice’.
