Shedding light on cyberspace

01:00 Sat 24th Feb 2001 |

IN RECENT weeks, the IT channel has attracted some cracking questions that have helped to shed light on eventhe darkest corners of cyberspace.

One user, infact, rekindled thewar of the desktops by posting the ever-baffling and ever-controversial question of which is better: the PC or the Mac. This seems to be one question that just everyone has an answer for.

Over the weeks, the answerbank team have found themselves taxed by the technicalquestions and

tickled by thetrivial.

One user managed to baffleusallwitha question that seemed to go on forever, drawing errrrs and ahhhs from users, until one clever visitor came along and cracked it. Good one .

However, away from the techno babble, the IT channel also attracts more practical questions, that oftenproved a lot harder to answer that initially thought.

This week a user posted what is undisputedly one of the mostbizzare questions we've ever seen on the channel. So if you can help JulianHayes work out why hiskids'Operation' game buzzes everytimetheyswitch their electriccooker OFF, then pleasepost a reply.

The Answerbank is also a good place to come for consumer advice. User Ianrose got help finding outwhich content management solutionwas the best on the market, while another usernamedClicker was curious about the best web server software for Macs.

So, keep your questions coming and don't forget to post a reply to any questions you may know the answer to.
