Selling a laptop, how much is it worth

Actually my Daughter is wanting to sell her laptop its a "Sony VAIO VGN-N31S/W" I cant find one on ebay or anywhere else 2nd hand to find a value. Any ideas anyone?

I'd agree with your original thought of around the £100 mark to be honest.

It's a few years old now and regardless of how much it might have cost originally you can get brand new laptops of a much higher spec for about £300 now.

Thanks Chuck, its a shame really, she don't have much money being disabled and she paid about £900 just 4 years ago I think.

This is why I hate laptops!! they have their uses I know!

That's a totally different and much higher spec laptop, you can't compare that with the one that ratter is asking about at all.

The one ratter is asking about is as follows (assuming it's not been upgraded)

core2 duo 1.66 GHZ CPU
1GB RAM
100 GB hard drive
Intel 450 Graphics with shared RAM

this is the closest I can find on Ebay and I'd say this is slightly over priced (though I do have a low opinion of what second hand computers are worth as I deal with computers every day)

Thanks guys, I don't think it has been upgraded, maybe some more RAM. She plays SIMS and World of Warcraft and it is really struggling and keeps shutting down, she was told its because of the graphics being too demanding.

a laptop is similar to a notebook, only a notebook is usually 1/2 the size, and cheaper!!!
