LETTER 1 OF 2

As some of you may know I am receiving and have received new log on numbers for my Santander.

I have received a new

Personal ID    xxxxxxxx

temporary password  (in bottom of page redacted out)

your temporary Security Number

we will send you your temporary Security Number in a separate letter.  This will also contain instruction on how to get started.

Another letter arrived at the same time

LETTER 2 OF 2

your temporary Security Number which is underneath (covered up)

Personal ID and temporary Password which you should have received in a separate letter.

When I go to log on - I could put the "new" Personal ID

there is no room for the temporary Password

but the third allows your temporary Security Number

Any ideas anybody - this would help me in saving £10 for a taxi fare tomorrow (if I have to go)  thanks for any help

Have you tried to put in "new personal id" and "temporary security number". You then might be taken to a new page to put in the "temporary password"

If I remember correctly the assistant who helped me said that a password would be sent to my mobile phone (which I didn't have with me) as I don't use it.

thanks Cal  - I put the new number in but nothing appeared - just room for the security digits

Hi Cal - I went on as per your instruction and another page with passcodes and a variety of instructions  came up - ie to copy the password from the mobile phone.

Thanks to you I have finally got into my account.  Thanks again Cal

Thanks again Cal.  - you saved me £10   LOL

Glad you got sorted

Well done cal .

Online banking is a pain - I very rarely logon.

Luckilly still got bank branches in town.

Why do you find yours a pain Tuvok?

I love mine, takes about one minute to log in any time day or night.

I use my banking app and get instant access.

i was also able to use it to get contact details to discuss a suspicious transaction on my account and it was dealt with almost immediately : my card was cancelled due to fraudulent activity and I have now received a new card. Very happy with the service (which I contacted on a Sunday) 😀

not that this needs an answer but I am moving to Danske Banking which is about 4 houses away from where I live and across the road which means when I have problems I can call in and get them sorted.  No longer have to phone and not understand the various accents of Santander.  I have been with them a life time when they were Abbey National but I worked in town so it was easy enough for me to pop in and get face to face now I can get face to face with my Danske Yippee.
