Canon MG5250. Used to stay on all the time (which is what I want, to save time and ink). Now it's taken to switching itself OFF after a period of inactivity.

Can't find the answer in the Canon Manual.

Any ideas how I can make it stay on, or if not, any ideas what Canon would CALL this function in their HUGE manual?

In your printer settings, there should be a box with "auto-off" checked. Uncheck this and it should stay on.

Perfect ferlew. Just the job.

Old cynic that I am, I wonder why Canon would have changed my default mode from 'Off' to 240 minutes? Surely nothing to do with using up more ink each time it turns on and off?

Anyway, all fixed now, so many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
