We have a Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 and IE 10.
We (my boyfriend and I) have hotmail email accounts that we access on this laptop.

The question: is there a way to control the email "from" address that IE is picking up when you click on an email link in a website? For example my boyfriend sent a query to an online retailer by clicking on the "email" link on their website, an Outlook popup window appeared with the to address filled in. The email sent OK but looked like it came from my email address. Is it possible to change this so that the default is my boyfriend's email address? I've looked in Hotmail settings and Internet Option in IE but with no success.

Thanks, SB

Actually you should see a menu option in the Account Settings accounts list, Set as Default

you have to let outlook know which is the default sending address
File > Account Settings

double click on the account you want to use as default and its in there.
then in the list it should show it as default sending account

Thanks for the reply.
It's worked. We had been logging into Outlook through IE10 so each accessing their own email account. But if I open Outlook from the Programs folder I get the Account Settings option.
