Question Author
sorry
cannot logon to the internet
thank you
You seem to be managing...
You dont need to logon to the internet.

Has this worked ok, in the past?

What have you changed?

Have you just installed Chrome?

Where do you try to logon (if it is within Chrome then this needs to be a gmail address, though you dont need it can can skip it).

Hello muller

> its not the pc im using now
> its the one i have up stairs

No doubt you had a good reason for not mentioning that in your OP.

Firstly, can you please clarify PRECISELY what you understand by "logon to the internet"? As has been pointed out, this doesn't make sense.

How does the upstairs PC normally acquire Internet access?

my pc up stairs works from the same router
this is the message i get when i try to logon to the laptop up stairs
windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the internet
the word certiificate i do not understand of course
thanks
> my pc up stairs works from the same router
> this is the message i get when i try to logon to the laptop up stairs

So the PC upstairs can connect to the Internet but the laptop can't? Is that right? Is the PC wired into the router?
"this is the message i get when i try to logon to the laptop up stairs
windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the internet"

Are you sure that is the EXACT message you got, or is it saying it can't find a certificate to log you on to the NETWORK! (not INTERNET)
No Mark, I think the PC upstairs IS his laptop. The working one is downstairs.

still got the problem

The easiest way to fix it is probably delete the wireless profile for that network and then simply re-connect to the network and enter the wireless key when prompted.
