I'm probably missing something so obvious, but how do you get favourites to load up on ie9?

I think that you might mean that your menu bar is missing. (File Edit View Favourites Tools Help)
Mine disappeared when I downloade explorer 9.

If you press Ctrl and Alt, you`ll see the bar appear at the top left, click on view -toolbars, and put a tick in menu bar.

Or just right click on a blank space wher the bar should be and tick menu bar.

On the right hand side of the browser there should be a little star at the top - in the toolbar. That is your favourites.

Thanks Daffy, but any ideas how I import my old ones?
They should have been automatically installed when you installed IE9. Mine were when I did it.
I have reverted back to IE8 now though due to IE9 causing my graphics card drivers to mess up. lol
Always back up your favorites to somewhere.
File/Import Export/Export Favorites ... save htm file. You can re-import this or open it to look at a page of the whole lot in one go (with links)
