I received a message from Facebook saying I could not access my account as there had been something suspicious an was told to change my password. I have tried about a dozen times and each time it either says the new password is too similar to my original one or that the link is invalid, whatever that means. None of the new password attempts were anything like the previous so I am at a loss as to what is wrong. Has anyone any ideas what I should do now? Thank you.

are you sure it wasn't a spamming email? Hopefully you went in from the web not via the link in the email.....

Thank you for the reply. It was a message when I tried to log in to Facebook and I simply followed the instructions. Oh dear sounds as though I have done something wrong doesn't it?
Try contacting FB direct, ask them, they should be able to tell you if it was a genuine message.
