I have an email address that I haven't used in years. How can I erase it and not get messages to it. Just looked in its inbox and there are millions of spam/junk mails. I just don't need the account anymore.

With many (probably most) email accounts, there's no way of deleting them; you simply have to abandon them.

However, since you've failed to tell us the name of the email provider you used for the account, it's impossible for anyone here to give you a definitive answer.

Sorry guys. It's a gmail account.
If you were to change the password, and make the new one a random collection of numbers and symbols, you wouldn't be able to get into it again. You'd soon forget all about it then.
AFAIK Google can delete your account if it has been inactive for nine months.
