Can anyone help me with this please? Went to play solitaire and its gone funny, very small and fuzzy - a message came up saying to check if the hardware acceleration is turned on, how do I find this?

This could be Graphic card settings .. or a problem with drivers .. or DirectX.
Check Control Panel/Display/Settings tab/Advanced/Troubleshoot .. make sure slider is turned up.
If still a problem ..
Start ... Run ... Type in DXDiag and enter .. Let it load .. Check DirectX version on first page, then run through all tabs and do checks, also note...

Download DirectX 9.0c if not using that version (XP, Vista,) 7? ... report back! Al.

Hi Al, tried your suggestions and everything seemed as it should be, the acceleration was set on full and I only had a new graphics card fitted at christmas. I was uninstalling stuff last night and my son suggested I do a 'de-frag' everything has been ok except for the solitaire. Thanks for your help.
I would say that if this was an aftermarket game ... (Solitaire also comes with Windows) ... the game is messing with desktop settings. Worst will mean a reboot after you close game (sometimes)
