Fujitsu Battery Charging Contol Update Tool

Every time I log on I get the same message from Fujitsu "urging" me to download the above tool. Apparently it is to do with the fact that batteries decline with age and can create a thermal threat. Has anyone else had this? Is it genuine or a scam? As I hardly ever use the lap top on battery (it is always plugged in to the mains) would I need it anyway? Any help or advice would be appreciated.
