transferring photos from samsung phone to MAC pc.

I have recently obtained a SAMSUNG WAVE ST-S8500 mobile phone and discovered that it has an excellent camera. I would like to transfer and view my photos on my MAC PC, but in spite of having been given a 143 page print out of the operating manual and purchasing a USB connection have had no success.

This may be because as a pensioner some of the jargon is foreign to me.

Can anyone put me out of my misery as it is driving me mad.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Having had a quick look on the Samsung site, you need to install Samsung Kies

If it was the right manual I was looking at is around page 106

You need tomhave OS X 10.5 or higher

2) why would you want to download samsung software from anywhere but samsungs site.
