Just received a 'phone call, concealed number, Indian accent, asked for me by name, I said he'd got the wrong number, he asked for me again by name and I told him no-one of that name here,
He then told me he had a refund of an overcharge on my credit card for me, despite me denying being me, and if I could give him my Bank account details he would arrange payment for me.
I thanked him for his efforts but declined his offer as I don't have a credit card, I didn't actually tell him that though, and hung up.
He's rung me twice more since then, the amount of the refund has gone up both times.
Think this might just be a scam, don't you?
i'd go with boo's idea...works a treat.... or if you are that way out sing to them or put a bit of thrash on full whack..... they dont usually bother again after that....
I have gone to the bother of getting the numbers of the letters from the alphabet A=1 B =2 and so on I have a little answer so give as my card number the numerals when they decipher it should curtail call.
