Who is the man commentating on the Athetics today alongside Colin Jackson, he resembles Aston Merrygold from JlS .

The Radio Times websites says "With analysis from Michael Johnson, Denise Lewis, Paula Radcliffe and Colin Jackson, and commentary by Steve Cram, Andrew Cotter and Steve Backley".

(I'll leave you to work out which one of those it is because I know next to nothing about athletics).

He's not totally new to sports presenting.

According to Wikipedia he presented weightlifting for the 2012 Olympics and went on to present programmes for that year's Paralympics. He also worked as a presenter for last year's Winter Olympics. He's also worked as a presenter for an American wrestling channel. He competes at a high level in both karate and bobsleigh, so he's not out of place in a sporting venue. Aside from all of that, he's been co-presenting Songs of Praise for the past four years.
