I can't get over the odds quoted for the Federer Stakhovsvy match: Federer 1-100, Stakhovsky 225-1. Those are ludicrous by any standards. I hope someone had a huge bet on the winner at that price ...

he was an unknown, Roger Federer is a top seed so why wouldn't they be those odds.

They probably make sense to a bookie trying to stop people backing Federer and cleaning up. Stakhovsky might be unknown to the casual tennis fan, but he's till a top player. No doubt as soon as someone had taken the odds they'd have reduced them pretty smartly. If those were the final odds presumably no one did, more's the pity.

Although some fans will be pleased to have potential rivals out of the way for their favourite I feel with Federer and Nadal gone by day 3 this year's Wimbledon has lost all its sparkle.
