MANCHESTER CITY STRIP

I've asked two Manchester City supporters when the club changed from white shorts to blue and neither knows the answer, although all three of us suspect that it was at the start of this season - the 2011-12 season - as the colours would have to be registered with the governing bodies. Is anyone able to confirm this supposition please?

Liverpool actually changed to their all Red Strip in 1964 when Bill Shankly was Manager
