Where can lateritic soil be found in England?

You would find it in the Sidmouth area ... look at http://www.qpg.geog.c...rivers/latemideo.html and search on the page for laterite - it's towards the bottom of the page. There is also a reference to lateritic soils in east Devon in http://www.devon.gov....-geology-of-devon.pdf

You can also find it in Eigg and Muck in Scotland...

You'll find it in all parts of the UK that have a hot and wet tropical climate.

Somehow, the tropical forests of Epping don't quite cut the mustard. :-))

You'll find it all over the UK. Look for pet shops that supply stuff for aquariums - they usually stock it.
