I'm looking to solve a cryptic clue in a local charity quiz. The question is:-"Puddling after a featherweight."
The only clue we have is the answer contains the word "mont" either at the start, middle or end.We don't even know how many letters there are or if in fact there is a more than one word answer.Anyone with ideas wil have my lasting thanks.

There is a pudding

Gâteau Mont Blanc

if that helps
Another answer

Delmonte - tinned fruit but Vince Delmonte wrote a muscle building book according to Google.

Thanks Barmy but you may have read puddling as pudding.Puddling is a mixture of clay and sand used to make a lining on canal beds.Any further ideas are welcome
