Thanks Foxlee 2.Yes I did have the answer to 10 and an answer to 84 but couldn't for the life of me work out what most of the clue referred to -You solved it in an instant. If anyone needs help with other clues I'll gladly give it. There's a limit to how long you can productively puzzle over one that's defeating you.

You're welcome p-potter. I had an answer for No,84 but didn't connect No.10 with question 10 until someone pointed it out to me and then the answer was logical.

Have you got 44 or 49 - any clues would be welcome.

Thank you teacher 1 and p-potter, both sorted now. Actually I had an answer for 49 a while ago which was the perfect answer for a cad but I couldn't fit it to the clue. I was convinced a South African would be SA or round the other way. Doh!

re 44, once I considered other meanings for reserved apart from saved/kept etc., it just fell into place. So many thanks to you both.
