Brahms & Lizst is a euphemism for drunk. Drunk is another way of hinting at an anagram. Hope this helps.

given answer is Bruschetta anagram of Schubert and Ta meaning toast, but Brahms and Liszt?
Bruschetta - anag (Brahms & Liszt; drunk) 'Schubert' + 'ta' (cheers)
