Went on tour of small market town, then a ride in a 2 horse drawn buggy seating 20 of us all around the vineyards and hills, then on to vineyards where we had four different tastings of wines and a tour of all the makings of the wine, absolutely fascinating, didnt realise how much went into it all. Weather absolutely gorgeous. The company who do this holiday is Treyn and its a train holiday of Germany, they do other areas too including the Dordogne. Can't fault the company at all.

Sounds a fabulous trip you are having Caran.
How exciting and fun. Glad you are enjoying yourself.
I hope the horses weren't sampling the wine...
I've only ever heard good things about Treyn - from people who have actually been on the trips.

They seem a very well organised company with lots of interesting holidays.

Unfortunately we were at the front of the horse drawn buggy and one of the horses had wind, never heard a horse fa*t before, deafening!

Lucky you Jeza, it's a wonderful country, so picturesque and clean. Most people speak English and they are so polite and helpful.

Not looking forward to the return journey, three changes of train with suitcases then Eurostar , only bad point on holiday, some people paid £85 to have their luggage transported form door to door, looking at it now it was a good idea because especially the London Underground was a nightmare with two large cases.
