Increase In Cigarette Prices

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that cigarettes seem to have gone up by about 25p per packet. I didn't think there was a raise in the last budget. Is this something from previous budgets, anyone else noticed?

So glad I stopped smoking 7 months ago! The cost is outrageous now, especially when you compare it to cigarette prices in the rest of Europe.
