Actually the 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, who retired in 1903, can lay claim to being the longest serving PM lasting till the 20C (thirteen years), although his periods of office were three rather than one continuous one.

Winston Churchill served two terms totalling 8 years and eight months, which beats Wilson's tenure.
Herbert Asquith, 1908 - 1916 also served 8 years and eight months, the second longest continuous period in office. Wilson trails a mere fourth.
