Recently it has come to our attention that some members are regularly asking for spare Mail Rewards Club numbers. While the terms and conditions from the Daily Mail say that purchase is required, we also don't like to see anything go to waste. So we're asking members of The AnswerBank:

Wolf63 Hope everything went well, I had a tooth out to-day, feeling sorry for myself at the moment, but it will soon wear off ( I hope!) I agree with sharing offering numbers if you do not use it, you have bought the paper anyway! so I voted Yes

mazie - in Scotland we have been getting the numbers printed at the bottom of the back page every day for a couple of weeks. I presumed that was how it was going to continue from now on.

Note the question is strictly speaking inaccurate as the sharing of numbers is not just between members as answers can be accessed by all site visitors whether or not they sign in.
Secondly just because numbers are unused does not mean they are wasted as it presumably it leaves more rewards to share.

Why are the requests for these numbers included in the Quizzes & Puzzles section as they appear to be neither?

Mazie it is only the numbers printed on the cards which are within the Saturday and Sunday magazines. You get 100 points for Saturdays and 150 for Sundays. It is nothing to do with any numbers printed on any page, it is only the numbers printed on the stick-on cards.

Craft - up here in the frozen north we haven't had the cards with numbers for a few weeks. The numbers have been printed on the back page 7 days per week.

The requests for numbers go in the topic the OP chooses, some have asked in CB.

Using the missing numbers section of the web page doesn't help if you have not bought the paper. They ask 3 security questions relating to that day's magazine.
So if you haven't got i in front of you you are stumped.

Actually Bommer_50 it doesn't work like that, the fewer people who take part, the bigger the reward. If you collect your 1500 points, you can claim £5 discount card for various shops and supermarkets, DVDs etc. I've been banking my points and after this weekend, I will have enough for a £25 reward. So it's worth inputting the reward numbers onto the DM site and no surprise that people who don't buy the Mail, want to get their hands on reward numbers for nothing and claim their discounts in due course.

I don't mind it being on here but I'd prefer it to be outside Q&P at weekends. If it became too popular though would the Mail try to stop AB from doing it?

I am surprised someone hasn't set up a site though specifically to exchange these numbers. They could sell advertising on the site.
