Hiya Jacdo. I'm doing this quiz too. The answer you want is Humber. I am only one short which is Headwear for Watercourse. (6,5). Any joy with that one?

There is a River Zephyr
automobile could be Hudson.
I think there's a whole raft (sorry) of possible cars. There was even a Ford Thames.
hi kustard the answer u want is panama canal
Already got Hudson Bay for another answer Scotman and also Zephyr is better than Humber for the car it isn't as well known a river as Humber - all the answers are really well known places. No joy on my question?
Headwear for watercoure = Panama Canal

Hi KUSTARD I thank you from the bottom of my heart .The one you want is Panama Canal OK.
Thank you SO much Claire!!! I got it into my head it was ? river. I feel really dim now!!
Thanks also Mark and Jacdo. We are all madly typing at the same time!!
How rigorously are you defining 'vintage'? Technically it should be built between 1910 and 1930. I don't think Ford Zephyr models are that old.
Good point Scotman!
Not quite...

Veteran - earlier than 1905.
Edwardian - 1905 to the end of WW1.
Vintage - end of WW1 to 1930.
Post Vintage Thoroughbred - 1931 to 1940
Classic - later than 1945
^^^^

Yes, I misread 1919 as 1910
And also you've got to ask yourself how well the quizsetter knows the subject!! Once, doing a quiz one of the answers was Seven Maids a-milking and they marked my Seven Swans a swimming wrong!
