Just watching the great Gary Nevilles testimonial and I wonder if it is still 10 years service to qualify for one

From Wikipedia (but confirming what I though anyway):
"By tradition, clubs typically grant testimonials to players upon reaching ten years of service with a club, although they sometimes are given to players with less service as they approach retiremen"

Thank you
As I thought 10 years
How good is wiki ?
'The great Gary Neville'

LOL

An average player who was made to look good because he played with great players, in an average side he would've looked just that

His record speaks for itself
He had the admiration of a great man who knows more about football than all of us put together so he does not need me to defend him and I doubt he will be unduly bothered about his detractors on here
Not forgetting of course that 'King Eric' was given one after only five years of service for United (unexpected retirement). As have many other great players for their respective clubs I'm sure.

I relish both Digs and Paul scholes and the opportunity to thank both of them for their amazing past service to the most successful premiership club ever
It will be a great occasion for both Ryan and Scholesy but as far as I'm aware neither has hung their boots up yet. I would think that when Ryan does the tickets will be like gold dust. (even for a testimonial).
