I am in the process of compiling a crossword for entrants of a pub quiz to complete as they arrive and before the main quiz starts. The participants are English speaking ex-pats from all over the world, and most of the clues are straight clues, but there will be some US style cryptic and some UK style cryptic. I want to see how long it takes you to get these three, so I can judge complexity required. Thanks
1. A twist in the Royal Crescent takes the biscuit (4,6)
2. Totters around as the aircraft dropped a bomb on the school (5)
3. Ship the musician to California (7)
Awarded best answer to the last one as three people each got one. Assumption is that the last is the hardest. Sorry I can't award three best answers. Thanks again
