18a Takhi is a type of horse, if that's any help
Question Author
Its supposed to be defined by the title which is animal track
There is a Warrigal :an Australian wid horse
Question Author
There is also a War Eagle breed. So i think it must be that!
35 Cadie .

Is 40a) bounce about in saddle ----- pad or pod ?
40 Pad - to bounce about and also, as a noun, a saddle.

PS If 21 was War Eagle, I think Columba would have mentioned that there was a two-word answer.
looks like 35d ends IE rather than LE though, donny- although it's unusual to have crossing clues that give 4 consecutive letters

In which case, i give up!
FF, I gave the answer (Cadie) to 35 D a few posts earlier.
What does Cadie mean please Neveracrossword?
sorry- found it- I was thinking they all had to related to animal track.
FF, I knew Cadie was correct as I thought it was Cadi/judge+E/electronic, but I didn't check Chambers.
Yes, it is a messenger.
Why give up, jadzia? is it 21d that's causing the problem? What letters do you have please?
Question Author
Yes, 21, w?r?a?l?. It should be a breed of wild horse!
possibly a different spelling to my previous answer of warrigal which is an australian wild horse
war eagle is the best bet I think- yes it's two words but it fits the 'definition' and letters
warragal is the main spelling here
