My 13 year old son has just received the results from his recent GCSE grade English test - he achieved a grade B...!
I don't want to boast, but I am so flipping proud of him! He's had bullying from year 5 in primary school to the start of this year (year 9), spent most of years 7 and 8 out of mainstream school and he still manages to have self-confidence and achieve this!
I could cry...!!!

To be proud is not the same as to boast. A lovely posting Hmum. Well done all round. I predict this young man has a good future ahead of him, so mum had better bulk buy the Kleenex ;o) ♥

Well done your son, and well done you for boasting about it. Nice to have good news from a parent for a change.
Well done little Halifax :-)

Pat on the back for you...you must be doing a good job as his parent x

Thank you chrissa, I really am not boasting, I'm just so pleased for him...he's so chuffed with himself, it makes me so happy!
Boast away - that's brilliant (especailly after the trouble he has had).
Congratulations to your boy. I can understand how proud you are. High-Five.

Oh gosh, thank you all so much, I'm crying like a big baby as I write this! lol
I know it's not going to change the world, but little things...

oh gosh, so much love coming from all you lovely people, bless you x
Question Author
lol ummm...he's 5'6" - 2 inches taller than me and lets me know it!

But seriously, he's a genuine good lad, sulky like they all are, but he's settled now at a great school and has friends...maybe there is good in this world!

TY Jo - it means a lot x
Brilliant for both you and your lovely boy.. Take heart he will do well, the bullies are always the most inadequate members of society, but they never succeed in the long run, your son has the intelligence and will to go on, the bullies never will have either the ability or simple common sense.
congrats to you and your son and boast if you want to its not illegal
Really pleased for him, I'm glad he has friends now, and I hope the bullying is behind him now.
A wonderful achievement despite things put in his path, fair makes your heart burst doesn't it. ♥

totally! love and hugs and thanks to all you lovely peeps! x
I had an extremely privileged start in life, born of wealthy parents, but was subject to extreme bullying thrtoughout my pre and early teens. But I still made it through to my chosen profession and went from a local JP to become a QC. I no longer practice but we all can make it if we have the will and determination. I now lecture part time in law to some brilliant students, all of which I am very proud, if your son has an interest in this, it is a very great and rewarding career.
excellent, well done your boy..and you.
