Hello there, I am going to try a cake recipe new to me shortly which requires an 18cm/7 inch square shallow cake tin. After some searching I have managed to find an 18cm/7 inch square DEEP cake tin. It is about twice the depth. Is this going to affect the cooking of the cake very much? Thanks.

No, the cake will just rise within the tin, rather than slightly above.
