I recently repaired a floppy sole on one of my running shoes using "E-6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive"...Great stuff.

You could always take them to a cobbler's.
My daughter is a shoe repairer and she says they can be repaired but most shoe repairers won't touch them! She says that the heels are made using a honeycomb effect in the middle. Once this has broken, the heel will split. It depends on how much you paid for the shoes as to whether it's worth having them repaired.
You could try putting an epoxy glue in the crack and clamping the heel until the glue is dry. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

This happens quite often with the soles of cheaper (chinese?)shoes.

She also says not to use super glue either. It doesn't work!

Running to the bar for wobblypops?
You're right, snags; those are the shoes I wear on my trips across the field:)
