My friend died alone in hospital because of him having Covid, it was so quick they couldn't get his wife to be with him at the end, there's people on here who haven't held their grandchildren until just a few weeks ago, who haven't held the hand of an elderly parent etc, all of this with the signature of Mr Hancock, as far as him having an affair, frankly I couldn't give a damn and if this thread was about that then I would be calling him a love rat and like a few are saying, feel immense sympathy for his wife and children and her husband and theirs....but it isn't . it's about a Minister in her Majesty's government who continually told us to cover up, not to hug....but you the rest anyway !

I always have done, gness. Rightly or wrongly, I don't think there has ever been a politician I would absolutely trust. That's from experience rather than want... I just hope they do their jobs effectively. But tbh, I'm the same with most professions. "Do what you like, just give me the right information".
While Hancock's hypocrisy is evidently first and foremost in people's minds, I have to slightly disagree with the majority on here who say they do not care about his infidelity. I do. My father instilled certain values in me and one thing he absolutely abhorred were adulterers. To conduct a clandestine affair, he once explained to me, both adulterers have to lie to their existing partners. The lies become bigger and more frequent - an extra hour's work becomes a business meeting that over-ran, which in turn becomes a weekend away.
My aunt, my father's sister, embarked on a 6 month extra-marital affair and, despite her and my uncle staying together, my father hardly spoke a word to her for the rest of his life. Even at family gatherings, he would barely acknowledge her existence.
Hancock has been lying to his wife for however long this relationship with his aide has been going on. If he can lie to her and his kids, he can certainly lie to the nation. That is why i echo Bobbi's heading, "Goodbye and good riddance."

Like anyone knew? I knew from the start, especially when he was telling the nation that PPE ( WAS) being delivered to hospitals and doctor's surgeries, when doctors and nurses were saying it wasn't, I know who I believed! and it didn't take much working out. The very first signs of his porky pies, He should have told the truth, we are having problems because all the stocks we have are out of date, and we are doing our best to renew. Instead he made out that the hospitals and doctors/ care homes were telling porky pies.
