We are less peacocky than past upper "classes" and less uptight about showing skin too. I think this generally is a good thing although there are consequences if one goes too far. But to be honest it isn't just clothing that one age will be amazed at if they could see a later age.

You don't have to go back 100 years sandy. I have just come back from a trip to the Coop, and there was a woman in there dressed in pajamas, with a dressing gown on, and she was complaining because the car park had huge puddles ! So, she had actually got in her car, and drove to the shop, in the clothes that she had worn to bed !

I shall probably get into trouble with the AB Sisterhood here but so many young women dress very immodestly, showing vast expanses of tattooed flesh. I'm sure that they think they look attractive but it doesn't seem very edifying or ladylike to me.
