Seen this story mentioned on quite a few web based news sites; this is only a possible theory that she was murdered for being a Muslim yet the headline suggests its a given.

A lot of sources aren't reporting that a white male was also murdered in the same park only last year with multiple stab wounds - the murderer never found.

Anyone who thinks this is not irresponsible journalism is 'A complete tw4t'. That's just one theory of course. I'm simply quoting something that someone else said, whilst remaining completely objective.

There was a report on television news that someone has been arrested after another woman was approached by a man in the park. The initial report seems to have been wide of the mark.
A white male doesn't necessarily equate to English. That murder too might have been a racist attack if it was on a foreign white male.
no, the use of the quote marks suggest it is not a given at all.

In this instance the white male was English. But as that particular murder wasn't as newsworthy then it took some googling.

looks like Huff at it too:

Must admit, never heard of the use of quote marks to thinly veil the true message they want to convey.

'bollux to you svejk'

(It's in quotes so it's alright Ed).
;o)
I've a feeling that someone is going to be detained indefinitely under the mental health act as a result of this crime. Anyone passing might have been the victim
quite right, booldawg. those headlines will be repeated, with or without quotation marks, on islamist websites in this country and abroad. no doubt they'll reinforce the jihadist mindset of a few impressionable youths.
I picked up the Metro which had a headline stating it was a religious killing, but in the first sentence it said that this was on theory the police were looking at. I felt strongly that the headline was irresponsible and inflammatory. I was going to contact editor and regret I didn't. On the tube I had no phone signal and later I had forgotten about it.
